We have a few laying around - these useless cellphones, out of date out of service. How can we Salvage these without paying someone to take them? Would they sell on eBay? doubt it. Be of use in a third world country? Probably not.

So I present them here as Salvage Art, all properly in a neat little row, old little soldiers that even the VA doesn't want! If you were to listen to the conversations had on each one of these - amazing! But now they are not being used for anything at all. Kind of Sad if you are attached to material things as memories or containers of memories.

I understand what you mean.
I once became inappropriately attached to a beer cooler that I liked, when I slammed the lid at an inopportune moment.
I feel your pain.

You have enough of a collection, they might be worth a few bucks...Check out some of the links here (http://www.dogpile.com/dogpile/ws/results/Web/what%20to%20do%20with%20old%20cell%20phones/1/417/TopNavigation/Relevance/iq=true/zoom=off/_iceUrlFlag=7?_IceUrl=true).

Maddy, thanks for the links! I did some research and found it hard to ID the models, so I am searching for a way to do that.

Bob, Pain is so bad sometimes! Course I have Fibromyalgia to boot and that adds to it! LOL

Here (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/13/magazine/13Cellphone-t.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin) is a link to a cool article about old cellphones.

"Cellphones are the most valuable form of e-waste..."

I gave our old ones to Wal-Mart, they have a bin by the photo dept. where you can drop them off for recycling.
